The Churdhar Trek takes you to the highest peak of the Himalayas Range. The maximum height of Churdhar is 12000 feet, Churdhar Peak is located in the Sirmaur district of Himachal and it is named after Shri Chureshwar or Shirgul Maharaj as local people believe that he lived here in ancient times. Churdhar is the highest peak of Shivalik range, this trek will make you feel like heaven on earth. But this trek is different. This trek is actually more beautiful than you might think. Forest is around the summit, and you can enjoy a panoramic view of the lush green forest during the trek.

Churdhar Trek Time To Visit

If you want to go to Churdhar Trek, go in May and June. Otherwise, you can go there from September to November. One should not go in monsoon due to the sliding of mountains.

How To Reach The Churdhar Trek?

By Air -

Chandigarh is the nearest airport, taxis, and buses are easily available from there.

By Train -

Chandigarh or Kalka is the nearest railway station.

By Road -

Buses and taxis are available from Chaupal, the starting point of the Churdhar trek, to reach Sarain. If you are traveling from Delhi, take National Highway 1 (NH1) to Ambala, then National Highway 22 to Shimla. Follow NH 22 from Shimla to Kinnaur, going through Sanjauli and Dhali to Theog. When you reach Theog, Follow the route from Chaupal to Nerwa, then after about the link road to Sarai.
